The cards · XVII · Major arcana
The Star
hope · serenity · renewal · trust · care
The Star speaks of quiet recovery. After a crisis, body and mind gradually learn to trust again: sleep improves, curiosity returns, life stops being just resistance. As a tool for self-knowledge, it appears when what sustains is not euphoria, but a discreet confidence of someone who has been through something difficult and keeps walking.
Draw the cards Bring your question, draw the cards and see what they show.
Reversed
Reversed, this card shows the same hope out of balance: the discredit of someone who has been disappointed too many times, the trust placed outside oneself, in someone or something that would solve everything in the person's place, or the idealism that ignores the real work still to be done. It is worth noting where trust has been exchanged for the demand for certainties that no one can give. It also appears in those who no longer allow themselves to expect anything, for fear of new disappointment.

Questions to notice

- What does your scar teach without needing to become a speech?
What the card shows
Psychological aspects
Confidence rebuilt through experience, not through promises. The ability to look at your own scars without turning them into an identity or a permanent justification.
Emotional aspects
Serenity with some melancholy. The joy here is discreet, made of relief and concrete gratitude, without fervour and without the urgency of being well quickly.
Behavioural aspects
Taking up simple, careful practices again, caring for the body, socialising again, saying what you feel with clarity. Also idealising plans and postponing the first step while waiting for the perfect moment.
In daily life
Relationships
A phase of careful reapproaching, when the person shows themselves again without armour. Also the risk of loving an idealised version of the other and being disappointed by the real person who is there.
Work
Taking up again after a difficult period, finding meaning in what you do, helping colleagues with what you have learned. It asks for patience with your own pace of recovery.
Personal life
Feeding what does you good in small, constant doses: walking, sleeping, cooking, reading, seeing those who do you good. Fewer goals, more care.
The image
Kneeling at the edge of a pool, one knee on the ground and one foot in the water, a young woman pours water from two jars, one into the pool and one onto the ground. Above her head shines a great star surrounded by seven smaller ones, and a bird rests on a tree in the background.
